Crystal Van Housen, 69 of Gering, Nebraska passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Regional West Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Rubidoux RV Center in Gering from 1-3 pm. Memorials may be given to the Panhandle Humane Society. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com.
She was born on September 26, 1953 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to William Rex and Inez (Dougherty) Christensen. She received her early education in the Gering Public schools, graduating from Gering High School and graduated from Western Nebraska Community College with an Associates Degree.
She married Donald Van Housen on August 30, 1974 in Scottsbluff and made their home in Gering, Nebraska.
Crystal loved and enjoyed her dogs, reading, watching Jeopardy with her family and watching Husker football.
Survivors include her husband Donald, daughter Laura Van Housen, sister Karla Christensen(Eric Chandler) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rex and Inez Christensen and sister Roxann Hight.
