Cheryl (Chikos) Dinnel, 70 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away at her home on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Her memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Casual attire. Cheryl was born on February 13, 1953 at St Mary’s Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Pete J Chikos and Marjorie A (Pike) Chikos. She graduated from Bridgeport High School.
She married Ronald R Dinnel on October of 1980 in Torrington, Wyoming and made their home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Later they divorced.
Cheryl worked for the State of Nebraska Road Department for 30 years, retiring in 2018.
Survivors include her daughter Sarah (Chris) Banghart, granddaughter Thalia; sisters Chris (Dave) Lancaster and Lorri (Steve) Streeks; nephew Nathan Lancaster, niece Lorrel Lancaster, nephews Scott (Wendy) Streeks, Brad Streeks, niece Christie (Jay) Gustafson.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Marjorie Chikos, brother Brad Chikos, grandparents George and Gladys Pike and John and Irene Chikos.
