Charles G. “Chuck” Case, 85, of Minatare, was born October 20, 1938, at Mitchell, Nebraska. He Passed away at Regional West Medical Center on December 18, 2023, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Cremation was chosen and there will be a graveside service held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. Charles was the oldest of 3 children born to Carl and Ruth (Marlatt) Case. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1957. He married Betty Arends in 1960 and to this union, 4 children were born: Christy, Kirby, Tommy, and Marty. They later divorced in 1983.
Chuck worked at Johnny’s Conoco in Mitchell, Farmers Irrigation District, Scotts Bluff County Road Department, Harry’s Truck Stop, and Roger Nichols Farms, all of Minatare. Charles also served 3 terms on the Minatare City Council.
Preceding Charles in death were his Parents Carl and Ruth Case; Sister Evelyn Arndt; Grandson Cory Case, and Son-in-law Steve Manka.
Survivors include his Daughter Christy Manka of Minatare; Sons Kirby (Kelly) Case of Gering, as well as Tommy and Marty Case, both of Minatare; Grandchildren Ryan Manka, Bethany, Karl, Brandey, Casey, Cody (Tanesha) Case, and Jenny (Zack) Tinnell; Great-Grandchildren Kori, Willow, and Jacob Case, as well as Carson, Rae Lynn, Blain, and OakLynn Tinnell; his Sister Sharon (Steve) Zitterkopf; Brother-in-law Jerry Arndt, and remaining a lifelong friend, Betty Case.
