Carl J. Troxel, 80, of Mitchell, passed away on December 19, 2023, at Regional West Medical Center. Cremation was chosen and Graveside Services will be held at Mitchell City Cemetery on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Rick Reisig officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated at a later time. Carl was born in Scottsbluff, NE on April 11, 1943. Carl lived in Mitchell for most of his life. He married Ruby Stringham on September 6, 1965. He worked at Hergert Milling, where he eventually retired.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Troxel on January 5, 2002, and a granddaughter, Loni Troxel.
Survivors include his daughter Carla Troxel of Mitchell, NE; step-daughter Genie Goodro of Cheyenne, WY; 4 grandchildren: Raejean Bahena, Sami Goodro, Lucas Stone, and Levi Troxel; 9 great grandchildren; as well as many others whom loved and cared for him.
Carl was a great and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sorely missed.
