C. Janeane Tucker, 91, of Pine Bluffs, died at Kimball Health services on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Pine Bluffs with Pastor JR Atkins officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church in Pine Bluffs. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view her Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for friends and family. Memorials may be given in her memory to the Pine Bluffs Ambulance or the Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church. The services for Janeane have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral home.

C. Janeane was born in Pine Bluffs on February 20, 1932, the daughter of George and Blanche Tucker. She graduated from Pine Bluffs High School in 1950, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to education and community service. After earning her degree in education from the University of Wyoming, she returned to her hometown, becoming a beloved teacher who left an indelible mark on countless students. Her passion for education extended beyond the classroom, as she actively participated in the Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church 100th anniversary celebration and served on various community boards. Janeane found success as a business partner with Bonita Morgan in Gamble’s, then Skogmos, a clothing line affiliated with Gamble’s and JaBon’s retail store. Her commitment to the community was further evident through her involvement in numerous events including the knitting club, demonstrating a deep-seated love for Pine Bluffs. Beyond her professional endeavors, Janeane embraced the joys of life through her love for crafts, gardening, she loved flowers, especially receiving the flowers from church, which were made by Jane Baker. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and puzzles. Her warm and caring nature endeared her to all who knew her, and her legacy as a dedicated teacher, community leader, and friend will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched. In honoring her memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering community spirit.

Survivors include her United Methodist Church Family, neighbors Bob and Kathleen Reed and Jean Howard; friends Lloyd Sisson, Karen Waterman, Mary Reinhardt, Jean Hauer, Sharon Sayers and Alicia Michaud and many extended friends in the Pine Bluffs Community. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and business partner Bonita Morgan.
