Bev was born on April 17, 1928, at the family home on “O” Street in Gering to Clinton H. Robinson and Isabelle D. (Wares) Robinson.  She joined her older brothers, Howard C. Robinson and Leland L. Robinson.  Beverly attended Lincoln (West Ward) Elementary and the Gering Junior and Senior High graduating with the class of 1946, the first post-war class.  She married Fred Leverne Aye in January 1958.  There were married for 27 years until Fred’s death in 1985.

After helping her semi-invalid mother for one week with spring house cleaning, Bev entered the cosmetology profession apprenticing in Gering.  She eventually worked at other salons in Scottsbluff before going into business for herself with “Beverly’s Beauty Shop.” In 1963 she moved her shop to Gering after the birth of her daughter.  Bev eventually retired in 2000 after working at her craft for over 50 years.  She was instrumental in helping her husband with his various business endeavors including bringing Hydrotex Petroleum Products to the valley where he was an award-winning salesman.  Because of his salesmanship, the Ayes were able to travel extensively through Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, and throughout the United States.

In her younger years, Beverly was known for her operatic voice and sang at many events, weddings, and funerals, and was also a founding member of the Platte Valley Oratorio Society.  She was a lifelong member of the Central Church of Christ and its oldest member.  In addition, Bev was a past member of The Order of Eastern Star and the BPO Does.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, parents, special aunt, Mrs. Margaret Jordan, and her four grandparents. She is survived by her daughter, Ruthanne of Gering, and nieces, Jodene (Michael) Rudd of Lincoln and Mary Robinson of Gering; nephews, Gary Robinson (Linda) of Idaho, John Robinson (Jane) of Austin, Texas, Daniel Robinson (Kathy) of Windsor, Colorado, and Tom (Agnes) of Gering along with 13 great nieces and nephews and 20 great-great nieces and nephews all of whom she was very proud.    She was the best mom and will always be missed.
