Betty Jo Rexius, 99, of Torrington, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington, WY. Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell, NE with Pastor Mike Meysenberg officiating. Interment will follow at Mitchell Valley Cemetery in Mitchell. Viewing will be held from 9-10am at the funeral home on Friday. It is respectfully requested that memorials in Betty Jo’s honor be made in care of her family to be designated at a later time. “I was born on the Burson Ranch, in an upstairs bedroom April 18, 1924.” The Burson Ranch was 3 1/2 miles south of Stegall Nebraska. Her parents were Rollie Herbert Miller and Leona Woneta Prideaux Miller.
Jacob Rexius’ smile won her heart! Their wedding day was January 2, 1943. Four children were blessed to have them as their parents.
Betty Jo was a lovely, loving lady. She was creative, artistic and an extraordinary bread maker. She was a faithful mighty prayer warrior. If she knew you– she prayed for you!
At the age of 15 Betty Jo “stood up” for Jesus at a country Revival meeting.
Embracing mom in heaven are her parents, her sister Shirley Mae, her brothers Keith and Jack, her husband Jake, her son Jackie Lee, her grandson Aaron and many other loved people.
Cherishing her memory are her daughter Beverly Jean, her daughter Carole Ann and her husband Don Young, her son Daniel Jacob and his love Rose Huber, her grandchildren Jennifer and Will, her sister Peggy Thiel, nieces and nephews.
