Belinda Joy Holder, 66, a resident of Gering, went to meet her Lord and savior, on Saturday, September 2, 2023. She was surrounded by loved ones in her home after a short battle with ALS which followed her survival of colon cancer earlier this year. Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 7 at Monument Bible Church with Pastors Jeff Banks and Jake Roberts officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. Memorials are suggested to either Gideon International or The ALS Association of The Rockies. Belinda was born May 28, 1957, in Fort Scott, Kansas and spent her childhood on the farm in Redfield, graduating from Uniontown High School in 1975. She married Ronald Gene Holder, the love of her life, on June 4, 1977. Together, they delighted in raising their family while serving the Lord diligently. In 1978, they moved to the panhandle of Nebraska where they began raising their daughters. In 1995, the family moved to Redfield, Kansas and remained there until Ron’s passing in 2011. Belinda then moved back to Gering and remained there the rest of her life.
Throughout her adult life, Belinda served in many different capacities. Some of these included managing retail stores, thrift shops, college records, and a motel. Her ministries ranged from nursery, AWANA, grief-share, VBS, Sunday school teacher, and was an Auxiliary member of the Gideons International. Belinda attended Monument Bible Church.
Belinda was preceded in death by her husband Ronald; daughter Jannell, who died in childhood; parents Gerald and Betty Bradbury Sr.; father-in-law Gene Holder and two brothers-in-law, Richard, and Arthur.
Belinda is survived by her two daughters Jessica Holder, of Springfield, Missouri and Jennifer (Grant) Severson, of Gering, Nebraska; grandchildren, Ralph III and Elizabeth Haile, Kaylee, Kiara, Kinnzie, Keyona, and Kimberly Gannon, and Emily Severson; brothers Gerald (Irene) Bradbury Jr., James (Rachel) Bradbury; sister Clarinda (Larry) West; sisters-in-law Dixie Adams and Barbra Poppe; mother-in-law Mary Holder, as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
