Barbara Ellen Eisenach, 89, of Scottsbluff passed away Friday, Aug 5, 2022. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022 at The Rock Church in Scottsbluff. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM on Aug 15 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Barbara’s honor may be made to Legacy Scholarship Fund at the Rock Church in Scottsbluff. Barbara was born June 10, 1933 in Alliance, NE to Francis and Irene (Lanning) Russell. As a child she lived in Banner County, Cheyenne, and Scottsbluff. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1951. She married Leonard Eisenach on Feb 14, 1954.

Her biggest joy was serving her Savior Jesus Christ and raising her children. Barbara was an active member of the Scotts Bluff County community volunteering in the Boy Scouts, Camp Fire, and Gering Organized Baseball. During her years volunteering with the Camp Fire Girls she served on the board of the national organization and was named National Volunteer of the Year. She served local churches in many capacities to include youth director and secretary. Along with her husband, they opened several businesses in the Scottsbluff community. She was elected as a Scotts Bluff County Commissioner from 1997-2001 where she served as Council President. For 15 years she was treasurer for her HOA. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, crafts, flower arranging, playing bridge, solving crosswords and helping people whenever possible.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Elizabeth Eisenach of Houston, TX, Kurt and Juanita Eisenach of Sheridan, WY, and daughters and sons-in-law Gwen and Ken Rabenstein of Severna Park, MD, and Ann and Kevin Courtier of Scottsbluff. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Erich, Patrick, Kalvin and wife Delaney, and Joe Eisenach; Melinda and William Rabenstein; and Jeff and wife Brandy Courtier. She also had three great-grandchildren; Jaycee and Bryce Courtier, and Emersyn Eisenach.

Barbara is also survived by a brother Elton Russell from Scottsbluff and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard and brother Richard Russell.

Barbara was a strong, talented, loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be greatly missed.
