Barbara Ann Pyle, 92, passed away on May 1, 2024, at Western Nebraska Veteran’s Home in Scottsbluff, NE. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Her memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Jeff Fiet officiating. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made in Barbara’s name to the First Presbyterian Church or to Western Nebraska Veteran’s Home. Barbara Ann was born on September 22, 1931, in Hastings NE to Virgil and Irma (Anderson) Lyle. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1948.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Clarence “Stub” Pyle; parents Virgil and Irma Lyle; In-laws Forrest & Iscle Pyle; brother Robert Lyle; sisters-in-law Leatha Rodgers, Marilyn Pyle, Joyce Pyle and brother-in-law Lloyd Pyle.
Barbara is survived by son Scott Pyle (Eunice) of Sidney, IA; daughter Ginger Elliott (Steve) of Palmer, AK; grandchildren Michael Pyle (Andrea), Christa McPherson (Jon), WJ Elliott (Anna); great grandchildren Alyssa, Bradley and Makenzie of Glenwood, IA, Heidi, Katie and Jack of Papillion, NE, Gabe of Anchorage AK; brothers-in-law Larry Pyle (Pat) of Torrington, WY, Carol Pyle of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s husband Clarence was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps enabling them to live in the Veteran’s home since May 2019. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and members of the Veteran’s home.
