Anna Elizabeth (Stone) Nielsen, 88, of Gering, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 peacefully at home.
Anna was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on May 21, 1935 to Bert and Bertha Stone. On August 16, 1953 she married Knud Nielsen of Denmark. They made their home south of Gering where they farmed for many years. With her husband Knud she owned Bradney Trailer Sales. She later worked at McCosh Drug, Sun Mart, and Safeway where she retired after working there for many years.
Anna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who’s family meant everything to her. Her passion was quilting, gardening, and rooting for the Huskers. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandkids and great grandkids. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Anna was survived by her daughters Cheryl (Tim) Morris of Gillette, WY, and Vickie (Rocky) Clause of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Cody Morris, Heather Shaw, Justin Morris, Nicole Enriquez, Melissa Mathis, Ryan Clause, Jessica Clark, and Zach Clause; along with 16 great grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her sister Emma.
