Adeline “Lilo” Palomo of Scottsbluff Nebraska passed peacefully at home on February 1, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. A viewing will take place Thursday February 8th from 3-6 pm at Dugan & Kramer funeral home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska . Funeral services will be on Friday, February 9th at 10:00 am at Dugan & Kramer . Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.
Lilo was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Bernardo and Aurelia (Zamarripa) Palomo . Lilo dedicated her life to nursing & caretaking; caring for others was her passion. Lilo married Stephen Fiala and of that union had a daughter; Adele Fiala. She remarried Rod Horst and spent the rest of her life with him, from that union they had a son Eric Horst.
Lilo also had a passion for carpentry, gardening,landscaping, and D.I.Y. Projects. She loved music and dancing, she always went above and beyond for everyone. She was so strong in her faith reading her bible daily. Her smile and laugh were captivating and will be missed. She truly adored her children Adele and Eric; grandchildren, Xavier, Aydin, Kylee, Adrik, and Bella. She cherished her great-grandchildren, Giovanni and Naelani.
Survivors include her husband, Rod Horst; daughter, Adele Fiala; son, Eric (Teya) Horst; siblings, Bernard Palomo, Julian (Della) Palomo, Rudy (Lucy) Palomo, Angie (Abel) Renteria, Pedro Palomo Sr., Henry Palomo, and Patricia (Isidro) Morales; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernardo and Aurelia Palomo; sister, Concha Burila; brother, Philip Palomo; and niece, Irene Palomo among other loved ones.
