Adalene V. Hill, 86, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away October 11th, 2022, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, is in charge of arrangements. A Funeral service will be held at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel on Monday, Oct 17th at 2 pm to celebrate the lives of Adalene and her husband, Stanley. Adalene was born on April 28th, 1936, at home in Holt County Nebraska to William “Swede” and Helen (McMillian) Wabs. She grew up on the family farm in Holt County. Adalene graduated from a one room schoolhouse in rural Holt County. She moved to Chadron, where he met Stanley Hill. She married Stan on January 5th, 1958, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where they made their home. To this marriage, four children were born: Rex, Garry, Roger, and Marcella.
Adalene worked at several jobs until she found her place in the lab at the Scottsbluff Sugar Factory until she retired. She was a member of the Panhandle Quilt Guild, decorated cakes, a crafter, artist, and lover of animals.
Survivors include sons, Garry (Tammy), and Roger; daughter, Marcella (Mike); Grandson, Cameron; and sister, Mae Jones of Chadron.
Adalene is preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen (McMillian) Wabs; Husband, Stanley; son, Rex; daughter-in-law, Michele; and brothers, Carl, Marvin, Edwin, Clyde, and Rudy.
