Kinder-Carding at Lied Scottsbluff Public Library
The Lied Scottsbluff Public Library Kinder-Carding campaign is underway. Youth Services Librarian Elaine Bleisch and Library Assistant Liz Perez are visiting all Scottsbluff kindergarten classes to issue a special invitation to children to visit the library and get their very own library card.
The library, the Star-Herald and Perkins Restaurant are sponsoring the program. Mention the invitation when you and your child visit the library to pick up your child’s library card, and receive a book bag that contains a ruler, pencil and coupons courtesy of the Star-Herald and Perkins, and other fun items.
The program is open to all area kindergartners and runs through the end of the school year. If your kindergartner doesn’t receive an invitation, you may still bring them to the library and tell staff they are a kindergartner to receive their card, bag of goodies and a tour of the children’s section. If your kindergartner already has a library card, they can still come in for the bag of goodies and the tour.
