After serving as Superintendent of Scottsbluff Public School for the past 11 years, Rick Myles is ready to embark on a well deserved retirement. But during the June 8, 2021 Board of Education Meeting, Mayor Jeanne McKerrigan surprised Myles by reading a proclamation making June 9 Rick Myles Day in the City of Scottsbluff and was presented a key to the city. In addition, Scottsbluff Police Chief Kevin Spencer was on hand read a proclamation from Gov. Pete Ricketts making Miles an official Admiral in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.
