A tentative October trial date has been set for the Gering man charged with killing a one-year-old child in March.
31-year-old Tyler Green is facing a Class 1B Felony charge of Intentional Child Abuse Resulting in Death.
He was arrested on March 13th after his girlfriends child was taken to the hospital after sustaining critical injuries, believed to have been caused by Green.
He was back in court Tuesday and requested a continuance in the case, to which the state did not object. By requesting the continuance, Green also waived his right to a speedy trial.
A September 25th pretrial conference was set, with the matter slated to go to trial in the jury term that begins October 7th.
Green has pleaded not guilty to the charge, and remains jailed on a $1 million cash bond.
