Despite it being week one there will be plenty of familiarity for these two old foes. Scottsbluff is coming off a 6-5 season that ended with a state quarterfinal loss to Elkhorn North while Northwest finished 5-5 with a round one loss to Norris.

Gering looks to get off to a fast start tonight as they play a Torrington team that is in week zero and coming in with less than two weeks of practice, as they just started fall camp two Mondays ago. It was the same setup last year and Gering won but then the Trailblazers went on to win a 2A state title in Wyoming.

This is our on-air debut for the Area Game of the Week with Traeton Harimon! Morrill has back to back winless campaigns and they’ve turned back to Tom Peacock for a third stint as head coach while Bayard went 3-5 last year with leads that got away in the second half the difference in being home for the postseason.
