The high school football season is now officially underway for every school in the state as fall camps opened today for most teams after 12 teams opened up practice last week due to playing week zero games on the 19th.

Both Scottsbluff and Gering programs were out early in 60 degree weather to open things up on Monday morning.

Scottsbluff has been labeled as one of the front runners in Class B heading into the season with a mix of big time returning production and some new addition transfers that should bolster the roster even more.

Gering will be looking to improve upon their two win season from last year and playing three of their first four games at home should give them a good shot at a confidence building start to the year.

Hear from Scottsbluff head coach Jud Hall and Gering head coach Danny O’Boyle on today’s sports update from KNEB.tv News.

Both teams will open the season on Friday, August 26th, with Scottsbluff heading out to play Lincoln Pius while Gering will be home to play Torrington.
