hanks to a 68-yard run by Parker Chaffee with a Chadron State fumble, the Jamestown Jimmies jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Eagles scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to come from behind and defeat the North Dakota team 17-10 Thursday night in Chadron.

Both teams kicked a field goal in the third period, before the Eagles scored their first touchdown of the season on a 17-yard pass from freshman quarterback Wyatt Sprague to senior Jamahd Monroe early in the fourth quarter.  Less than two minutes later the Jamestown center snapped the ball over the head of his team’s punter and CSC sophomore Rylan Wehr claimed it in the end zone for a touchdown.

The Chadron State defense limited Jamestown to just 140 total net yards. CSC sophomore Jake Marschall carried the ball 30 times for 110 yards to lead the Eagles in rushing.

CSC will be idle this next week before hosting Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, Sept. 21.
