The man often referred to in the past as the “Lion of the Legislature” has decided to seek another term in the Nebraska Unicameral.
According to the Secretary of State’s office, Ernie Chambers has filed for the District 11 seat in north Omaha, which is currently held by Terrell McKinney.
Chambers was term-limited out of the seat for a second time at the end of 2020.
McKinney, the incumbent, has filed for re-election, and also faces a challenge from Calandra Cooper.
