SARGENT – Voters in the Sargent school district are reminded that ballots for the school board recall election are due Tuesday.
Voters are being given a series of simple yes or no questions as to whether Board President Martin Riddle, Vice President Loyd Pointer and board members Tammera Moody and Laura Kipp should be removed from office. The four have faced heavy criticism for their votes in February not to retain Cory Grint as principal.
Ballots were mailed to registered voters in the district just before Thanksgiving. In order for votes to be counted they must be returned to the Custer County Clerk’s Office by the close of business on Tuesday.
Ballots can be delivered to the office on the top floor of the courthouse in Broken Bow or using the drop box located on the west side of the courthouse.
