Pleasanton hosts Dick O’Neill Invite

KEARNEY – Pleasanton hosted the Dick O’Neill Track Invite Thursday in Kearney.

Axtell took the girls team title, beating Overton by five points.

Sandhills/Thedford finished third in the girls standings. Leading the way were the relay teams, which took first in the 4×100 and 4×400 and second in the 4×800. Top individuals included Jaylen Dimmitt placing second in shot put, Dayle Haake second in the 100m hurdles and Kallan Cox finishing fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller got first place showings from Rilyn Schledewitz in the 3200 and Taryn Arbuthnot in the high jump. Arbuthnot also placed second in long jump and third in the 200.

The Central Valley girls were led by Taylor McIntyre, who was first in the 100, second in the 200 and second in triple jump.

Pleasanton’s top finishers were Cassidee Paitz third in high jump and Emme Westland third in the 300m hurdles. Ansley-Litchfield got third from Caydence Feldman in the 3200 and fourth from Ava Paitz in the 300m hurdles.

On the boys side, Kearney ran away with the team title.

Central Valley was fifth in the team standings. The Cougars were paced by Zaden Wolf finishing second in the 100 and third in the 200 while Boston Wood was second in the 3200 and the relay team took second in the 4×400.

For Ansley-Litchfield, Ryan Bailey won the high jump, Luke Bailey was second in both the 110m and 300m hurdles and Isaac O’Brien took third in the 800.

Chance Daake was SEM’s top boys performer, placing fourth in the high jump and sixth in the 800. Pleasanton was led by Kenan Hasenauer finishing fifth in shot put while Sandhills/Thedford’s top performance was seventh for Brodie Stengel in the 3200.
