The excitement is building as SBLive Sports’ 2024 national contest to find America’s best high school mascot reaches the final rounds. The Ord Chanticleers have soared into the Final Four, ready to face off against California’s top-seeded Coalinga Horned Toads.

The Ord Chanticleers, who secured the No. 3 seed after garnering 7,003 votes in Nebraska’s statewide contest last fall, have shown incredible tenacity. They triumphed over the Yuma Criminals (Arizona) in the Elite Eight matchup. Meanwhile, their current adversaries, the Horned Toads, entered the tournament as a No. 1 seed with a massive 72,114 votes from their home state.

This head-to-head is more than just a battle of mascots; it’s a testament to school spirit and community pride. As the Chanticleers gear up for what could be their biggest win yet, they need your support more than ever. Every vote brings them one step closer to the National Championship Game, spotlighting Nebraska on a national scale.

Voting is open until Thursday, May 2, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. Don’t miss your chance to help propel the Chanticleers to victory and put Ord, Nebraska, on the map for having the best high school mascot in the country.
