BURWELL – One of the biggest events of the summer gets underway Wednesday with the first day of Nebraska’s Big Rodeo in Burwell.
Announcer Travis Schauda said this year’s rodeo will again have a high level of competition.
The rodeo also includes several specialty events, such as the wild horse races.
Nebraska Volleyball Coach John Cook is this year’s grand marshal. Schauda spoke of how Cook has embraced rodeo and the western lifestyle.
