BROKEN BOW – Adams Land and Cattle says that through the support of their sixth annual Food 4 Youth campaign, they were able to donate $7,500 and 4,900 items to Custer County backpack programs, which provide food and other needed items to send home with students. The Food 4 Youth Challenge, held September 9-September 25, was open to area businesses, schools, and civic organizations.

In all, 33 Custer County businesses and organizations participated, collecting 4,950 snacks and meals for the Custer County backpack programs, which help provide food for their students, who may not know when their next meal will be.

Adams Land and Cattle also encouraged monetary and grocery gift card donations to support the programs through the Food 4 Youth fund administered by the Custer County Foundation. The total received by the end of the challenge was $7,587 which will be distributed between all of the programs to support their future needs.
