Miss Rodeo Nebraska, Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska contestants announced

The Miss Rodeo Nebraska Association formally announced the contestants for Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2025 and Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2024 via their Facebook page over the weekend. The following young women will compete for the two titles during the pageant, held June 9-12 in conjunction with NEBRASKAland Days and the Buffalo Bill Rodeo.

Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2025 and Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2024 will work in tandem with one another, traveling across the state and country representing rodeo, agriculture, and the state of Nebraska.

Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2024 Contestants:

Danielle Forster | Smithfield, NE

Danielle graduated from UNL with a Bachelor of Science in animal science with an equine focus. She will earn her Master’s degree in animal science with specialization in extension and education from UNL in August. She is the UNL Horse Judging Coach and is the coordinator for the Elwood Rodeo Queen Pageant.

Ashlyn Mohling | Kearney, NE

Ashlyn obtained her Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2022 from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. She is a licensed veterinary technician with a goal of getting her Bachelor’s degree in the future. Ashlyn believes that being a cowgirl is not some mold that you make yourself fit into, but rather embracing what makes you uniquely you.

Brylee Thompson | Paxton, NE

A past Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska, Brylee recently obtained her Associates degree in business with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from Mid Plains Community College. She has started her own small stamped jewelry business on social media. She would like to start her own clothing boutique in the future.


Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2024 Contestants:

Jaelyn Himmelberg | Blue Hill, NE

Jaelyn is a graduate of Blue Hill High School and will be attending Doane University in the fall where she will be a member of the dance team. She will be pursuing a major in biology with an emphasis on a Pre-Physician Assistant path. She plans to practice as a Physician Assistant in rural Nebraska in the future.

Maysen Merritt | Wellfleet, NE

Maysen attends Maywood Public Schools where she is involved in FFA, Quiz Bowl, and Band. She likes to help her dad on the ranch, riding her horse, Rosie, and after high school attend the Wyoming State to major in agriculture education.

Sophia Schemper | Holdrege, NE

Sophia is a Sophomore at Loomis High School where she is active in FFA, volleyball, basketball and track. She participates in 4-H, and Nebraska High School Rodeo where she was a two-time National Finals qualifier in junior high. Her future career goal is to become a Physical Therapist and practice in a smaller town and hopefully help coach student athletes.

Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2024, Josee Saults

JoSee is the 22-year-old daughter of Scott and Jill Saults. JoSee started rodeoing with her two brothers when they were little. She competed in Jr. High and High School rodeo. JoSee college rodeoed for Eastern Wyoming College for two years. After her two years at EWC, JoSee transferred to the University of Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in May 2023 with a degree in Communication and a minor in Sociology. JoSee plans to attend law school with an emphasis on agricultural law.

Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2023, Maci Cox

Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2023 is Maci Cox. Maci is the 17-year-old daughter of Josh and Jennifer Cox of North Platte. She will be a senior at St. Patrick’s Catholic Schools where she is involved in basketball, volleyball, track, high school rodeo and 4-H. She is also on the high honor roll, active in SAINTS leadership, and a member of National Honors Society.
