CALLAWAY – The community of Callaway celebrated the grand opening of its new swimming pool on Saturday.
The village voted in 2022 to approve a bond issue to build the new Callaway Aquatic Center at a cost of just over $4 million.
Lawrence Paulsen commended the community for making the project possible.
The children of the Svoboda family were the official first into the water.
Paulsen announced that for the 2024 season residents of the Callaway city limits will receive free admission to the pool.
