O’NEILL – The Broken Bow Senior Legion baseball team closed the regular season Sunday by sweeping a doubleheader against O’Neill.
The seniors opened a big lead early in game one by scoring seven runs in the second inning then added four each in the third and fourth for a 15-2 victory.
Kayden Record led the onslaught by going 3-for-3 with three runs driven in and three runs scored. Max Denson also drove in three runs.
Broken Bow’s offense started slow in the second game before pulling away for an 11-1 win.
Bow trailed 1-0 after four innings, but erupted for seven runs in the fifth and four in the sixth.
Eli Coble went 4-for-4 in the second game with an RBI and two runs while Brice Chaplin was 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs.
Broken Bow will host the B6 Area Tournament with opening round games on Friday.
