HALSEY – Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands says an ATV trail in the Bessey Ranger District near Halsey will temporarily close for maintenance.
According to a release, a well along the 113 trail needs maintenance, requiring the cutting of some trees. This requires the entire trail to be blocked while the maintenance is being done.
For the safety of the contractor assisting in the work, and the safety of the public, trail 113 will be closed until further notice. Access from the trailhead of 113 to where trail 113 meets trail 112 will have closed signs posted for the public.
This maintenance is expected to begin Tuesday and is expected to be short term and not require an extended closure.
