Jeanette Powers age 81 of Columbus, NE passed away on May 15, 2024, peacefully with her loving family surrounding her at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, NE.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Broken Bow Cemetery in Broken Bow, NE with Pastor Don Schauda officiating. There will be a short viewing at the graveside before services. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Jeanette Mae Powers was born on January 27, 1943, to Albert and Bertha (Broski) Larson. After her school years Jeanette worked as an RN and she met Larry Powers. They were united in marriage on February 2, 1962, in Altus, Oklahoma. To this union was one daughter.
Jeanette enjoyed being a stay at mom and taking care of her horses and cats while Larry was stationed overseas in the Air Force. Jeanette was a very loving and caring person who had a heart for her family.
Jeanette is survived by her only daughter Kathy (Richard “Rick”) Ogden, granddaughter Amanda (Martin) Patten all of Broken Bow, honorary grandson Curtis of Anselmo, great-granddaughters Montannah and Shalee, and nephew Daren (Ida) Morgan of Gibbon.
Jeanette was preceded in death by parents Albert and Bertha, her brother Doran Larson, Infant great- grandson Brandon and great-granddaughter Destani.
