Nebraska’s high winds & very dry conditions spawned several wildfires in the state Sunday afternoon.
Two fires were reported in the southern Lancaster-northern Gage county areas.
Firefighters were summoned from many area communities along with tractors with discs. Residents in southwest Lancaster County were under orders to evacuate. Authorities suggested that producers in the path of the fire should turn on their center pivots.
