Wayne, Neb. — The Wayne State volleyball team was a unanimous #1 selection for the second straight week with all 47 first place votes in the latest AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats set a new school record with their 17th and 18th consecutive wins over the weekend in home sweeps over Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston.
Wayne State, 18-0 on the season and first place in the NSIC with an 8-0 league mark, visits Augustana Tuesday evening followed by weekend road matches at Northern State Friday (6 p.m.) and MSU Moorhead Saturday (3:30 p.m.).
