SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morgan Secora has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference softball player of the week for games played April 1-7.
Secora, a sophomore from Gretna, Neb., hit .667 across nine at-bats, collecting six hits including a home run and a pair of doubles, and driving in six RBIs.
In addition to her prowess at the plate, Secora collected a win in the pitcher’s circle, striking out five in eight innings of work.
Morningside is back on the diamond on Friday, playing a home doubleheader against Mount Marty at 3 p.m.
