New Escape Room Coming to Downtown Norfolk

New Escape Room Coming to Downtown Norfolk
September 27th, 2022 | Encrypt Escape Rooms

Encrypt Escape Rooms, will open for the first time to the public this weekend. Norfolk natives Austin Truex and Kiley Anderson are embarking on this business venture, with the grand opening slated for Saturday, October 1.

An escape room is a fully-immersive, team-based entertainment experience that requires participants to work together to solve a series of puzzles, clues, riddles, and other challenges in order to “escape” the themed room before time runs out. The escape rooms will provide a fun, family-friendly entertainment option to the community, as well as a practical team-building resource for businesses and organizations.

Encrypt Escape Rooms will open with two different themed rooms, each offering a 60-minute challenge. The first, titled “Playroom Pandemonium,” places participants in a children’s nursery as babysitters, where they will work together to find a missing teddy bear. The second room, titled “Framed!,” is set in a police precinct crime lab. Participants take on the role of detectives who have been framed for murder and have one hour to uncover hidden evidence that will clear their names.

Encrypt Escape Rooms is located at 123 N. 4th St. in Norfolk, in the Centrum Building downtown. Parties of three to six people can reserve a room at encryptescaperooms.com,  and larger groups can reach out with questions.
