Columbus Man and Woman Arrested for Breaking into Farm Building Southwest of Stanton

Following an investigation into a break-in of a secured farm building Southwest of Stanton the Stanton County Sheriff’s office has arrested a man and woman from Columbus on Burglary related charges.

42-year old Justin Robinson, and 44-year old Tammy Albers were taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon in connection with the break-in of the rural farm building on two separate occasions earlier this fall.

Also recovered from the pair were burglar tools used to gain entry. Both were charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglar Tools, Criminal Trespass and Theft. The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Stanton, Colfax and Platte County Sheriff’s offices into thefts in the three county area. A stolen trailer was also recovered from Robinson that had been stolen in Butler County during the investigation. Further charges and arrest are possible and both are scheduled to appear in court next month.
