The top U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) official is planning a visit to the cornhusker state.
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will travel to Omaha, Nebraska on Friday.
A USDA press advisory states the trip is for a major announcement.
That announcement could be regarding a rule to protect the rights of farmers who raise cows, chickens and hogs against the country’s largest meat processors. A USDA official confirmed earlier this week that new rules would be announced sometime this week.
