Deborah “Debbie” Sue Rouse of Lyons, Ne formally from Craig, Ne entered her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at CHI Health- Bergan Mercy Medical Center.
Debbie was born on December 10, 1954, in Omaha to John and Leona Rouse. Though Debbie never married or had children she loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own.
Debbie attended school at a Country School outside of Craig until Second Grade when she was diagnosed with Turners Syndrome. Debbie then went to a Special Education School in Fremont until she turned 15 years old. She then transferred to Mount Olive School in Tekamah. In 1974 Debbie started going to Region IV which she graduated from in 1978.
Debbie filled her days caring for many of the children in Craig, helping with Sunday School at the United Methodist Church or watching every episode of Little House on the Prairie. No one was a stranger to Debbie, and she would help anyone she could. Debbie was an avid Wizard of Oz fan and she enjoyed placing memorial flowers on her loved ones graves every Memorial Day.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Rouse; sister, Aloma Forsberg; and nephews: Dennis Rouse and Jerry Lee Swanson.
Debbie is survived by her siblings: Lee (Linda) Rouse, Lynn Rouse, Annetta (Jerry) Swanson, LaRita Johnson, Bradley (Martha) Rouse, Candice (Roger) Fehrer; brother-in-law, Howard Forsberg; and several niece and nephews and great niece and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024, 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Lyons. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-7 pm at Pelan Funeral Services in Lyons. Burial at the Craig Cemetery. Memorials to the family to be designated. Pelan Funeral Services in Lyons is assisting the family with arrangements.
