Work will begin on I-80, from east of Brady to east of Overton

(North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin Sept. 16 on I-80, from reference post 205.61 to reference post 212.70, reference post 222.02 to reference post 229.50, and reference post 247.84 to reference post 254.87, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Western Engineering Company, Inc. of Harlan, Iowa is the contractor for this project. Work includes asphalt repair of the centerline and outside shoulder longitudinal joints. Traffic will be maintained with
lane closures. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Oct. 2024.

The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the
transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones
down.
