Wisconsin man sentenced to 14 years in prison for meth conspiracy

Omaha, Neb. — A Wisconsin man was sentenced in federal court in Omaha to 14 years in prison for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute four pounds of pure methamphetamine.

There is no parole in the federal system.

46 year old Lemarr Washington of Sheboygan, Wisconsin was told during Wednesday’s court appearance that he will need to serve a 5-year term of supervised release following his release from prison.

Washington also agreed to forfeit $4,658 that was seized along with the meth.

On March 2, 2023, Washington was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by Seward County Deputies for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the deputies became suspicious of the information provided by the occupants of the vehicle and a drug detection dog was deployed.

The dog alerted to the presence of narcotics and deputies searched the vehicle. The search resulted in the four pounds of pure meth and $4,658 being seized. Washington later admitted that the meth was his. He has agreed to forfeit the cash as part of the sentence agreement.

The case was investigated by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration
