Gosper County, Neb. — Gosper County authorities have identified a person found deceased while investigating a house fire near Johnson Lake.
Gosper County Sheriff Jesse Naputi responded to Lakeside Trailer County around 4:11 p.m on Wednesday on a call for service to check welfare.
As he arrived on scene, he noted that residence had recently been involved in a fire. After gaining entry, Sheriff Naputi found a deceased male.
The victim has been identified as 57 year old Roger E. Portillo Estrada, a Gosper County resident living at Lot #3 Lakeside Trailer Court.
The Gosper County Coroner requested an autopsy be performed in support of the death investigation.
The State Fire Marshal is assisting in the investigation. A cause for the fire has not been released.
