Overton, Neb. — Eastbound traffic is flowing normally on Interstate 80 following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday just east of the Overton I-80 Interchange near near mile marker 248. The accident, reported at 8:42 a.m., involved a semi and a car. The car was on the shoulder of the Interstate while the driver was doing work along the shoulder, likely construction work. The semi struck the car, causing minor injuries to the driver of the car. Traffic was diverted to Highway 30 for a time so investigators and first responders could work the scene. The semi driver was not injured. The vehicles were moved to the median for eventual removal. Overton Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Department of Transportation and Nebraska State Patrol responded to the scene.
