LINCOLN, NE – The Judicial Nominating Commission for the 10th Judicial District, has forwarded two nominees for District Court Judge to Governor Jim Pillen for consideration: Melodie Lynn Turner Bellamy of Kearney and Timothy Eugene Hoeft(HAY-ft) of Holdrege. Bellamy is the Kearney County Attorney. Hoeft is Phelps County Court Judge. The 10th Judicial District encompasses Adams, Clay, Franklin, Harlan, Kearney, Nuckolls, Phelps, Webster counties,

The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy shall be either Hastings, Adams County, Nebraska; Minden, Kearney County, Nebraska; or Holdrege, Phelps County, Nebraska, at the option of the appointed judge. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Terri S. Harder.
