A three-day jury trial has been set in a Phelps County Motor Vehicle Homicide case. Andy Eickhoff of Albion is charged with Misdemeanor Motor Vehicle Homicide and Careless Driving stemming from a traffic accident that occurred in late March of last year.
Eickhoff was driving a semi that collided with a vehicle that was turning. Eickhoff’s semi pushed the vehicle into oncoming traffic where it was hit by a truck driven by Lawrence Johnson of Holdrege. Johnson was killed in the crash.
Eickhoff has pled not guilty to the charges and the trial will begin on April 22 in Phelps County Court. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for March 25.
