Kearney-Minden’s Jake Ryan is getting a chance to live out a life long dream. The former Whippet is a member of the South squad for this weekend’s annual Shrine Bowl in Kearney. Ryan spoke this week with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen about being a part of this annual fundraising game.
Ryan is coming off a year in which he threw for over 700 yards and six touchdowns for the Whippets. During his senior year he accounted for more than 1,200 total yards. He will play in the secondary for the South squad on Saturday. Kickoff of the 66th annual game from Cope Stadium in Kearney is set for 4pm. Ryan will walk on at Wake Forrest university this fall.
