NORTH PLATTE, NE – The Nebraska Land Days Celebration has come to an end along with the special overtime enforcement conducted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Between June 11th through June 24th, deputies worked overtime hours to enforce speed and alcohol compliance in Lincoln County.

Deputies conducted a total of 184 stop, resulting in 82 citations, and 5 drivers were arrested for Driving under the influence with one of those drivers also facing additional charges of leaving the scene of an accident, procuring alcohol to a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and willful reckless driving. A second driver was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest. Four subjects were arrested for outstanding warrants and one arrest was made for disturbing the peace.

Additional citations were issued for:
-46 speeding
-20 No Registration
-10 No Operators License
-6 Minor in Possession of Alcohol
-1 Careless Driving
-2 Disobeying stop light
-4 no proof of ownership
-1 misuse of learners permit
-1 misuse of school permit
-2 possession of drug paraphernalia
-3 possession of marijuana
-2 open container
-4 fictitious plates
-5 no insurance
-3 driving left of center
-1 fail to signal
-1 no helmet.

Deputies also assisted 7 motorists during the enforcement period.
