Holdrege, Neb. – The Holdrege girls golf team hosted Cozad and Minden on Tuesday night at the Holdrege Country Club.

The nine-hole triangular was won by Minden with a score of 169. The Whippets were led by KayLynn Jorgensen who finished with the individual low score of 37. Teammate Kara Suchsland was right behind her with a 38.

Amelia Ptacnik paced the Dusters once again after carding a 40 followed by Addi Rehnberg’s 43. Duster coach Craig Hall said he was impressed with how his team competed. “As we start to get into the middle of the season, it’s really good to see Amelia starting to round into form,” Hall said. He added that Rehnberg was the “bright spot” and that her mid-season form shows how much offseason work she put in.

The Cozad Haymakers finished with a 246 and were led by Abbie Albrecht who shot a 52. Ella Atchison finished with a 59.

The Whippets and Dusters will both head to Cambridge on Thursday. All three schools will be in Lexington on Friday for an invitational that starts at 9 am.
