Lexington and Holdrege squared off in soccer on Tuesday afternoon. Lexington won the girls game 2-1 as Briyeth Munoz scored the first goal with the assist from Valeria Perez and Venus Sanchez had the PK attempt go in for the go ahead goal. Alyssa Winter recorded eight saves for the Minutemaids. Overall Lexington outshot the Dusters 26-9 in the match as they improved to 3-1 on the season. Holdrege is now 0-2.
In the boys game, Lexington improved to 5-1 with a 10-0 win over the Dusters. The Minutemen jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first half. Eight different players scored for the Minutemen with Fredy Vargas and Ezequiel Lucas each scoring two. Holdrege dropped to 0-2 on the season.
