(Holdrege) The Holdrege Area Public Library Board is once again looking to build a new library building after failing to get enough support a few years ago. The library’s Board of Trustees cited an increase in attendance at recent events as well as a need to provide adequate space, resources, and facilities as the main areas of concern with the current building.

The board has two locations they’re looking into including the library’s present location on East Avenue. They’re also exploring a portion of the old Franklin School lot on Logan Street.

The Holdrege Area Public Library hosts monthly board meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm. Holdrege residents are encouraged to attend.
