Two Union Pacific Railroad train cars derailed around 4:00am Tuesday morning near Kearney. One derailed in the upright position, the other train car is on its side.
UP spokeperson Robynn Tysver says no one was injured.
The incident occurred about four miles east of Kearney near the intersection of Poole Avenue and Nebraska Highway 30.
Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department was contacted.
The incident is under investigation.
