Cozad-Work continues on the new Cozad school building project as the school year gets underway. This season the Cozad volleyball squad will be the first to play in the new west gym which was part of a 26 million dollar bond issue passed by voters in 2022. Most of the work to the new gym is complete and KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen spoke with activities director/assistant high school principal Jeremy Yilk about the Haymakers new facility.
The new gym has seating on three sides, plus a mezzanine area and will seat close to 1,400 spectators. Cozad’s first varsity match in the new facility is set for Sept 3rd when they host Lexington.
